Have you ever wondered what it's like to be single and saved in Alaska? Stay tuned for a series of perspectives from our brothers and sisters living in the last frontier ...

Being single in Alaska in an adventure. It means seeing God not only in the people, building and city around you but in the beauty of the mountains, the scenery and sunrises and sunsets. It means living life to the fullest in a place where God allows you to enjoy what he created all throughout the year.

With so few brothers and so many sisters dating is pretty much nonexistent and requires complete faith in God and trust that he will take care of me. Knowing God gives us what we can handle when we can handle it is something that I have to keep coming back to. The singles here have really grown over the last year in our relationships with one another and realizing we have the same goal to work towards...our relationship with God. That is what is keeping us going and pushing us higher.

I recently moved to the Last Frontier from New York and have truly loved my experience here. It is just awesome to be a disciple and a member of God's Kingdom. The singles ministry here is constantly growing and looking for ways to develop their faith. We are a group that believes in the word of God and centering our life on that. We have recently started having weekly group devotionals, are a part of a goal setting program that encourages us to grow daily and know one another better and several of the singles are in small one another in-depth Bible study groups. The ministry here is truly one that is "iron sharpening iron!" I feel so blessed to have moved here and to be a part of such an encouraging, God-fearing group! Additionally, the Anchorage area offers a lot of super outdoor activities that this group jumps feet first into...rafting, kayaking, skiing and much more. It is a thrilling state to live in and the ministry displays the heart of a warrior in all cases!
